The beginning
VisionFirst begins providing progressive, professional eye care to families in Central Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
Louisville Optical
Dr. Rod Rallo moves to Louisville and expands his practice by purchasing Louisville Optical, starting on Poplar Level Road.
Seven offices
Louisville Optical grows to 7 offices: Poplar Level Road, Middletown, Hurstbourne Parkway, Preston Highway, Shelbyville and Frankfort.
Employee-owned
VisionFirst becomes an employee-owned practice.

When a referral comes to us from urgent care, primary care, endocrinology, rheumatology or pediatrics, we communicate back with the referring provider once the patient has been seen.
We collaborate with trusted specialists in retina, neuro-ophthalmology, pediatrics, cornea, oculoplastics and more, and every office has Optomap retinal imaging and OCT.
